Evaluation de l’accompagnement entrepreneurial dans le cadre du plan national pour l’emploi

Abstract

The National Youth Employment Plan 2016-2020 is a government policy that is part of Cameroon's emergence and development strategies for 2035. This project is a comprehensive strategic document with several objectives, including promoting direct employment, improving employment information, and promoting employment through entrepreneurship. In our study, we focused on the entrepreneurial target, more specifically on entrepreneurial support. Entrepreneurship in Cameroon is a new paradigm that is part of economic development policies aimed at promoting socio-professional stability. This assertion is based on government policies that aim to popularize and promote entrepreneurship. Our study therefore seeks to evaluate entrepreneurial support for young people within the framework of the PANEJ 2 project. Our work is inspired by the findings that the government is implementing several development policies rooted in entrepreneurship, including PAJER U and PTS-Jeune. PTS-Jeune, among others. However, according to statistics obtained from various surveys conducted by the INS, the IMF and the ILO, the professional situation of young people remains a cause for concern. This highlights the problem of the difficulty of increasing self-employment among young people in Mfoundi. However, in order to provide a scientific response to our research, we used a qualitative analysis method based on a sample of five young people who benefited from the PANEJ 2016/2020 project. At the end of our work, we noted a lack of support within the framework of the 2016-2020 national youth plan, which impacts the effectiveness of the PANEJ2 project. Based on this finding, we made a number of suggestions related to our three sub-themes, namely structures, support practices and the duration of support.
