The present Work deals with the isolation and characterization of secondary metabolites from the ethyl acetate fraction of the barks of Acacia seyal, a species of the Fabaceae family. After extraction of the barks with methanol, the crude extract was partition with hexane and ethyl acetate. The phytochemical study of the ethyl acetate fraction was carried out using different chromatographic techniques, such as Column Chromatochraphy and Thin Layer Chromatography, which led to the isolation of three compounds labelled ASE1, ASE2, and ASE3. The structures of these compounds were determined using the analysis of D and D NMR spectra and by comparison of their data with those of the literature. Two of these compounds belonging to flavonoids class were characterized as diosmetin and 6”-O-acetylscoparoside.fr_FR
