Résumé: This work explores the contribution of geomatics to geodetic connections, with the aim of demonstrating that it is possible to obtain a road layout and a topographical profile along a road to evaluate the height differences and embankments, all at lower cost and in a short time thanks to tools like google earth and arcgis. The finding highlights the prolonged delays and exorbitant costs associated with traditional topographical studies, which often hamper road development pro- jects. The research question posed is whether geomatics contributes effectively to geodetic con- nections? to answer this question, a methodology based on the use of satellite data whose pro- cessing is based on the theory of least squares, as well as the law of cosines and sines, was adopted, supplemented by a pearson test. The results reveal a pearson coefficient of 0.9999993 between geographic coordinates from google earth and those from a handheld gps, illustrating an almost perfect correlation. In addition, maps of the road layout of the university of yaoundé 1 campus, as well as a digital terrain model (dtm) and a long topographical profile, were generated, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of geomatics tools to visualize the relief and plan infrastructure quickly and economically.
