Résumé: This research work is entitled: integration of ICT in pedagogical practice and implementation of distance education during the COVID 19 period: the case of public secondary schools in Ngoumou. The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of integrating ICT in pedagogical practices on the implementation of distance education in secondary schools in the city of Ngoumou during the COVID 19 period. A general hypothesis was formulated: The integration of ICT significantly promotes distance learning. In this study, 242 participants responded to a questionnaire consisting of 51 items built on the Likert ordinal scale with five points. The questionnaire included short introductory texts allowing participants to express their views on distance education during the COVID 19 period in relation to the following independent variables: ICT innovation diffusion; ICT acceptability; ICT usage typologies; access to ICT; energy sources and internet connection. The results indicate that the use of ICT for exchanging, communicating, collaborating, cooperating, producing, creating and publishing, researching and documenting, training and self-training, animating and organizing, all favor, just like access to ICT tools, energy sources, and internet connection, a good implementation of distance education (Classroom teaching with online extension, Hybrid courses, Asynchronous online courses, Synchronous online courses, Hybrid online courses, Flexible courses, Radio and television courses). With the aim of improving alternative and innovative pedagogies, this study aims to participate in the efficient and effective implementation of distance education. It suggests staking in to account the diversification of new ICT tools, making them more available and accessible for the smooth running of teaching in our schools.
