| dc.description.abstract | Throughout the world, in Africa and particularly in Cameroon, the problem of socio-professional integration of people with disabilities in general and those of disabled people with hearing impairment in particular still and continues to be a major concern which must be taken into account. The acceptance of hiring disabled people with hearing impairment turns out to be a very big challenge for them, so, socio-professional integration strategies constitute a particular concern, mainly when we are dealing with a society which is still fooled by the ignorance of the hearing impaired and holds prejudices against them. Added to this poorly qualified training, employers' reluctance to hire, communication barriers, security problems, limited career development. This set of elements determines the socio-professional integration of these people and when they encounter difficulties in this direction, they do not manage to find satisfaction at a given moment. So these people experience discomfort, an uncomfortable situation which affects their self-esteem. Hence the problem relating to “the strategies and obstacles of socio-professional integration of the hearing impaired in Yaoundé”, based on this problem, we formulate the following main research question: “does a good formulation of inclusion strategies contribute to eliminate obstacles that hinder the socio-professional integration of hearing impaired people? The main hypothesis is “the good formulation of inclusion strategies can contribute to the elimination of obstacles that hinder the socio-professional integration of people with hearing impairments”. The objective is to “show that people with hearing impairments face specific obstacles when they seek to enter the labor market and also to propose strategies that can promote their integration and adaptation in a socio-professional environment”. To better achieve this objective, an interview guide has been put together, in order to interview certain hearing impaired people of working age, certain managers of vocational training centers and finally certain employers who have already had to employ the hearing impaired. The study concerned hearing impaired people in the city of Yaoundé. | fr_FR |
