Résumé: | The difficulty some young people have in accessing the job market due to their lack of skills, qualifications or experiences has given rise of the creation of small jobs based on the exploitation of cultural assets. They struggle to find their place in the new society; they remain anonymous and do not receive help from state structures, non-governmental organizations, or local autorities who are nevertheless responsible for promote this sector and its stakeholders. The research theme « endogenous culture and youth entrepreneurship in Cameroon: Case of young people from Nko`ovos in Ebolowa II (South Cameroon) » sets out to understand this situation starting from the questioning: How does endogenous culture influence the logics and entrepreneurial practices among young people from Nko`ovos to Ebolowa? Hypothese retains for this research is that endogenous culture influences the entrepreneurial logic, practices among the young people of Nko`ovos to the exent that it carries authentic and frugal innovations, its local appropriation facilitates the entrepreneurial anchoring of the young people of Nko`ovos, and contributes to local development. Based on a qualitative survey carried out among cultural entrepreneurs from Nko`ovos, based on the dynamic and critical theory of BALANDIER and the frugal innovation of RADJOU and PRABHU. The data was analyzed using content analysis. The result ultimately show that several factors are at the origin of the low representation of cultural entrepreneurs from Nko`ovos compared to non-natives. However, they manage to find ways to ear income and meet their various needs. This allows us to understand that endogenous culture is a potential provider of jobs and socio-economic development for the young people of Nko`ovos. |
