dc.description.abstract | This research, which focuses on “Cameroon-Brazil cooperation in the light of maritime security (1986-2022)", highlights the support of the Brazilian navy to that of Cameroon for the fight against maritime piracy in its waters. The central question that supports this reflection is to know what are the real issues of this mutuality between Cameroon and Brazil? To answer this question, our analysis was based on a multidisciplinary approach. These methodological and theoretical borrowings have allowed us to trace the advent of maritime security cooperation and decode the navy’s tactics against maritime insecurity. To accomplishment of this study was justified by a host of scientific work reports from international institutions, a multitude of articles as well as around twenty oral sources. These divergent sources are scrutinized for comparison and critical examination to allow us to capture the reality of the subject explored. At the end of this investigation, it appears that the security cooperation link existing between the Cameroonian and Brazilian navy are dates from 1986. As a result, the Brazilian nay being considered as the South American lamp, by its seniority, its armament and its modernization, indeed assists that of Cameroon through initial and ongoing training of its elements in the military naval academies and on board ships. However, this marriage is experiencing some setbacks which deserve to be restructured for better southern cohabitation, to migrate towers a more fruitful, healthy, and transparent cooperation. | en_US |
