dc.description.abstract | This work focuses on onomastic and mnemonic aesthetics in Les Maquisards by Hemley Boum. It is intended to be both a Semiological and Post-colonial reading of the work of the Cameroonian novelist, in order to show how names’system for persons and places contribute to the restoration of the memory of Cameroonian nationalism. The work is divided into three main stages. After making an anthropology of the name which allows us to appreciate its importance in African socioculture, it highlights the name as a point of connection between the character, the environment in which he lives and the mission to which he is called. The long-term analysis reveals the novelist's project which is both testimonial and testamentary: to bear witness to the heroism of the Nationalists in order to transmit their values to younger generations to enable them to successfully meet the challenges of their time | en_US |
