Résumé: This academic research work is entitled: ‘’therapeutic itineraries of Tuberculosis among the Ngambaye in Chad case of the peasant bloc. A contribution to anthropology’’ it is part of the field of medical anthropology. The space in which our object is integrated refers to therapeutic pluralism in the context of tuberculosis. From the problem posed arises the following question: what explains the choice of therapeutic routes for tuberculosis among the Ngambaye of the peasant bloc? What are the sociocultural representations of tuberculosis among the Ngambaye of the peasant bloc in south Chad? What are the health routes for the Ngambaye of the peasant bloc on tuberculosis? How does sociocultural representation of tuberculosis influence health choices among the Ngambaye of Chad? Who are the key players in the fight against tuberculosis in Chad? The following objectives correspond to these questions: the present research aims to study knowledge of tuberculosis and as well as the behaviors in seeking care that it implies among the Ngambaye of the peasant bloc in Chad, firstly retrace the different therapeutic routes taken by Ngambaye tuberculosis patients from the peasant bloc in Chad, then research the cultural perceptions that the Ngambaye of the peasant bloc have of tuberculosis and finally, identify the reasons underlying the choice of therapeutic routes for Ngambaye tuberculosis patients of the peasant bloc in Chad. Therefore, this research mobilizes the theories of the ethno-perspective of Mbonji Edjenguèlè (2005) and the ecological theory of Bronfenbrenner (1979) and that of functionalism of Bronislaw Malinowski (1951), to interpret the results. 53 resource people and direct observations were carried out during our stay in the locality of Ngambaye, more precisely in the peasant block.
