Résumé: Our research focuses on Narrative Identity and figurative structures of the Cameroonian political imagination in Les Maquisards by Hemley Boum and Empreintes de crabe by Patrice Ngannang Narrative identity is the fact for a person (author) to put into text his lived, in an appropriate genre. The story told can be strictly personal, that is to say inherent to the author himself, or collective, to the extent that the author is representing himself in the collective consciousness. The author will thus tell his story, becoming the spokesperson for the community to which he belongs. The aim is to see the mechanism by which the narrative identity of the authors inscribes the figurative structures of the political imagination in the texts of the corpus. In other words, it is a question of understanding that every text contains and highlights a new identity of its author; we therefore speak of his narrative identity. Then, we demonstrate that this identity makes it possible to identify the inscription of the structures that characterize the political imagination of the authors of these novels. This study immediately poses a concern, that of the hypothetical reliability of such an axiological analysis with mythological pretension: How does narrative identity facilitate the inscription of mythemic redundancies? What influence does narrative identity have on the choice of settings and combinations of settings in the works in the corpus? How does narrative identity allow the reading of mythical and messianic characters in the books of the corpus? The main method used in this reflection is the mythocriticism of Gilbert Durand additionally; we invoke from time to time the political criticism of, the narratology of Gérard Genette. This work is divided into three large parts, each comprising two chapters. The first analyses the founding concepts of our subject, namely narrative identity and figurative structures. It emerges that any text is the narration of the experience of its author, and this narration gives rise to the bookish identity of this author, while providing information on the structures that form the basis of the latter is imagination. The second part of this work is entitled: decorations and combinations of decorations. In this second part, we carry out an in-depth analysis of the spatio-temporal elements that frame the texts studied. The result of this analysis leads us to affirm that space, although natural with its difficulties, was of real benefit to the nationalist fighters. Furthermore, the time evoked seems distant, but the events that took place there transcend this time. Finally, the third part of our reflection concerns the political imagination. In this, we proceed to identify the myths and after analysis of them, it emerges that the main myth that bases the works of our corpus is that of the messiah. At the end of our study, we identify a certain number of important results to keep in mind. First, through this study, we note that the author acquires a new so-called narrative identity in a fictional text. In addition, this study, beyond raising awareness among the masses about Cameroon's painful past, stimulates a new dynamic, one that makes it possible to build signs of power, autonomy and elevation in a world where the quest for interests is increasingly violent and cause of war.
