Résumé: A good practice of agropastoral activities in the Mandara mountains is challenging due to the continuons existence of insecurity in this land from 1925- 2021. Thus, the analysis has highlighted the effect of the insecurity on this economic activity sector (agriculture, livestock raising) that generates income for the highlanders of that locality. Developed by the written, oral, iconographic and digital sources, the present economic sector undergoes the harmful natural and human phenomena: the destruction of fields by rodent animals, insects, destruction of arab lands, drought, demographic pressure. Accordingly, this brings about space saturation, animal theft, highway robbers that disturb the trade. Besides, the terrorists, Boko Haram, in their turn and thanks to their grim modes of operation, provoke the psychosis among populations, as the reasons of the decline of agro-pastoral activities. Consequently, the inhabitants of Mandara mountains face multiple problems related to food crises, undernutrition, malnutrition as well as increasing and persistent poverty. In order to effectively resolve these challenges, the national and international tools were gathered namely the deployment of Cameroonian army, FMM supported by COVI, State and non- State actors as well as Regional and under- Regional actors.
