Le programme ACEFA dans le développement socio-économique du Mayo-Danay( Extrême-Nord), 2008-2021

Abstract

The socio-economic development of Mayo-Danay in 2008-2021 is partly related to the program of improving the competitiveness of family agro-pastoral farms (ACEFA). It is part of Cameroon's Debt has been cancelled and the putting in place the Development program (C2D) contract, following the economic crisis of 1985-1995. On the basis of a varied documentation consisting of books, articles, theses, dissertations, archival documents, electronic and oral sources, this study mobilizes three theories of economic invoice among which we have the developmentalist theory , that of dependency and neoliberal theory. Given its transdisciplinary nature, the conduct of this analysis was guided by a diachronic and hypothetical-deductive approach. It should be noted that this program has contributed to the development of the Yagoua Region not only in the agrarian field, but also in livestock farming. However, this program encountered difficulties with some project beneficiaries. These obstacles arise at the level of the disorganization of producer cooperatives, the negligence of training by the ACEFA council, the absence of human resources, the lack of energy, infrastructure and access to the Internet. This is why, despite the efforts made by ACEFA, it is important for the State of Cameroon to become more involved in this project in order to remedy these shortcomings.
