Résumé: Our research work aims to see how the social factors related to placement in foster families determine the social integration of orphans from “SOS Children‟s Villages” in N‟Djamena. The issue of orphaned children spares no country. They most often come from underprivileged backgrounds and are victims of acts of bodily and psychological violence and mistreatment in their own families. The causes of this phenomenon are numerous and have become obvious to all players. These children encounter difficulties in building their life project. A qualitative study of the phenomenological type using semi-directed individual interviews was conducted, involving 11 participants including 06 staff and 5 orphan children recruited through reasoned choice sampling. The results show that the placement provided by the SOS Children's Villages Center allows orphaned children to reintegrate into their biological families. Finally, the results also demonstrate that to facilitate the social integration of children who live like a normal family and are in contact with other members of the community. At the village level, the children of the community can play with other children and share activities such as the Koranic school, the church etc. The objective is not to take care of the children indefinitely, insofar as the best place where a child can flourish is within his family. The difficulties encountered in terms of placement or return to the family include: some children fail in their social integration once they leave the SOS Children's Villages program and others succeed. A kit is planned for these children once they return to their family to carry out their project in order to allow them to be independent.
