Title: Incidence des technologies de l’information et de la communication sur l’éducation entrepreneuriale dans l’enseignement secondaire général au Cameroun.
Authors: Ngounoue, Marie Céline
Abstract: Our work stems from an observation of a paradox: while unemployment rates increase with the level of education, entrepreneurial training appears to be an essential lever for the socio professional integration of young people, aiming to provide learners with the skills necessary to create and manage projects in the face of a rapidly changing job market and high unemployment rates. Furthermore, the use of ICT is widespread among students, raising the question of its role in the development of entrepreneurial skills. We focused on the theme: “The effect of ICT on entrepreneurial education in general secondary education in Cameroon,” with the overall objective of determining whether information and communication technologies have a significant influence on the entrepreneurial education of students in general secondary education in Cameroon. To achieve our objective, we asked ourselves whether the integration of ICT in education has a significant influence on the entrepreneurial education of students in general secondary education in Cameroon. To answer this question, we drew on several theoretical frameworks, including human capital theory (Gary Becker), signaling theory, employability theory, experiential learning theory, curriculum theory, and the transformative model of Herve and Knight (1996). Methodologically, we have adopted a mixed approach combining survey and correlation analysis based on Pearson's model. The study is based on a sample of 4,145 students from 13 high schools in Yaoundé, as well as interviews with 52 teachers. The data collected were processed using SPSS software. The results of the study highlight a significant correlation between ICT teaching and entrepreneurial education. Indeed, the relationship between the promotion of ICT programs and entrepreneurial education displays a correlation coefficient of r = 0.900 (p < 0.01), indicating a favorable effect. In addition, the promotion of entrepreneurial ambition is strongly associated with ICT teaching (r = 0.866), as are the entrepreneurial values transmitted by these technologies (r = 0.814). The analysis also reveals that the availability, quality and performance of ICT equipment positively influence the entrepreneurial education of general secondary school students.

Title: Gestion des compétences et mobilisation des enseignants des écoles publiques et privées au travail : Cas de l’arrondissement de Bafia.
Authors: Bodongono, Pierre
Abstract: Education has always been the bulwark of any society. Today, it is a real concern ; despite its undeniable importance, problems related to it are constanly being raised. For example, teachers in both public and private elementary schools are often dysfunctional and lack motivation. This indicates inadequate professional awareness. In fact, class preparation by teachers is insufficient. They range from 57 % to 60 % in public schools and 68 % to 72 % in private schools. This leads us to deduce that an average of 41,5 % of class preparation is not carried out in public schools, compared to 30 % in private schools. As a result, certain skills are not taught to students or are not acquired from the onset. This situation is more acute in the public sector. Based on this observations, we’ve asked our selves the following. Does skills management have a significant effect on the engagement of public and private elementary school teachers at work ? This gave rise to a general hypothesis (GH) whose independent variable was broken down in to six other variables namely : communication of competencies, planning of competencies, involvement of the principal and teachers for the better understanding of competencies assessment of competencies, orientation of competency related sanctions, involvement of external players in competency management. Each of these was related to the dependent variable of teacher mobilization at work. The aforementioned hypotheses were tested using the chi-square model and contingency coefficient while, the qualitative data were analysed using content analysis approach. With a nonprobabilistic sample of 18 head teachers and a sample of 112 teachers, by random selection of quota and the cluster sampling technique and from our accessible population of 49 head teachers and 372 teachers, we were able to verify that skills management significantly mobilizes public and private teachers at work. What’s more, a comparative analysis of the two sectors, based on the contingency coefficient, showed that public sector teachers are more mobilized than their private sector counterparts, and therefore more effective. Hense, we made the recommandations to the teacher, manager and external players.

Title: Pilotage systémique en milieu carcéral et perspectives de réinsertion socioprofessionnelle durable des ex-détenus mineurs au Cameroun.
Authors: Banen, John Thierry
Abstract: The objective of this work is to analyze the impact of systemic management based on the New Public Management on the socio-professional reintegration process of former juvenile inmates, whose recidivism rate is estimated at 80%. However, the prison system is experiencing organizational and functional dysfunctions due to the inadequate implementation of prison management tools. This has led to the establishment of a system for supervising juvenile detainees in Cameroon. Dysfunctions within this public institution may be attributed to an overreliance on prohibitions and sanctions within the prison environment, which can impede educational supervision and hinder sociability and socio-professional reintegration. The study utilized a qualitative approach, with former juvenile inmates and prison administration staff (including social workers, prison administrators, educational social center coordinators, and prison guards) participating in interviews. The interviewees were selected using a non-probabilistic purposive sampling technique, followed by snowball sampling, specifically for ex-minors. The data collected was analyzed using the thematic content analysis method. The results show a lack of strategic vision in favour of systemic management in the prison environment, a failure to consider management tools, and a lack of planning for educational activities due to an excess of prohibitions and sanctions. The overcrowding observed in prisons is due to several factors, including the absence of a post custody follow-up system, the weight of criminal records, the excess of stigmas, the lack of a prison project to promote social and professional reintegration, as well as coercive management and a legal system focused solely on custody. In any case, it is essential to reorganize the prison system to address current dysfunctions and meet new requirements of public management. This is necessary to ensure organizational performance and achieve proven emergence by 2035.

Authors: Batjom, Paul Patrick
Abstract: This research aims to analyse the influence of administrative management on organizational performance in secondary and more precariously establishment, the effective management multiculturality within establishments of Eséka arrondissement at a time when differents sociocultural entities in the country that make up these institutions manifested of individualities and peculiarities which already become source of dysfunction within these organizations resulting in frustrations, miscontainment, uprisings or even weak returns. To carry out this research, several theoretical orientations have been mobilized among which theories relating to the management of organizations, including : participatory leadership (Argyris in 1957; Fonkeng and Tamajong. 2010), and the theory X and Y from Mc Gregor and Douglas and the culturalist theory, relating to the management of cultural diversity in organizations, particulary the managerial approach (T. Deal & A. Kennedy. (1982); R.T. Pascale & A.G. Athos. (1984); T. Peters & R. Waterman. (1982); Archier & Sérieyx. (1984); E.H. Schein. (1985) etc.) and the socio-anthropological approach (L. Smircich. (1987); L. Pondy. (1983); G. Morgan. (1986); M. Alvesson (1993), etc.). From then on, our general assumption formulates as follows : there is a link between multiculturality management and organizational performance in educational institutions from arrondissement of Eséka. To check this hypothesis, a joint approach was chosen : quali-quantitative. The quantitative survey was conducted using a questionnaire submitted to stratified randon sample consisting of 130 respondents whose administrative staff, teaching staff, APEE members of our research institutions. The descriptive data analysis shows that the level of implementation of the appropriate multiculturality management mechanisms in establishments remains low. The correlational analysis using pearson’s square Khi found that effective multiculturality management has a significant influence on organizational performance in educational institutions from arrondissement of Eséka. To ratify these results, a qualitative study was conducted with semi-directive means of interviews and the appreciations of 07 participants : two (02) local authorities, three (03) heads of establishments, a censor, and a member of the departmental delegation. The analysis of extracts from the content of their dispour shows that for most of these participants. The low organizational performance in educational institutions from arrondissement of Eséka, would be attributable to the absence of some managerial mechanisms like : permanent awareness, inclusive recruitment policy, the continous training, etc., which are effective when it comes to manager the pluri-cultural human resource that makes up our establishment. If these results dedicate an actual advance to the level of research, since our set objectives have been achieved, and must open doors to futur research in the educational science field in general and in that of the administration of educational establishments in particular.
